Boulder Friends Meeting Building Use Policy
To prevent space conflicts, all events other than regular First Day use will be scheduled through the Building Use Coordinator and then noted on our Meeting Calendar.
BFM Community Events: These are events organized by Members and Attenders for Members and Attenders. They DO NOT require a signed rental agreement or a fee.
Examples of BFM Community Events include: Committee meetings, BFM classes, and small gatherings of BFM Members and Attenders.
BFM Hosted Events: These are events hosted by a Member, Attender, or Committee of the Boulder Friends Meeting when outside groups and individuals are invited. They DO require a signed rental agreement. They may require a fee if 12 or more participants are expected. Meeting Committees may designate Events for which a fee is waived.
No fee is charged for the following BFM Hosted Events: Our Neighborhood Association, the Silver Lake Ditch Association Annual Meeting, Toward Right Relationships Meetings.
Examples of BFM Hosted Events include: Graduation and other family celebrations, Memorials, meeting for a group that the host is a member of and substantially involved in, and BFM Committee hosted events for the public.
Rental to Outside Groups: These may be one-time or recurring events. These DO require a signed rental agreement and fees. We do not rent for for-profit events. These will be listed on Calendar as OUTSIDE ORGANIZATION, with the name of the organization or contact person recorded in the calendar details if approved by the renter.
